iran food + bev tec 2019 proved an excellent show once again

Despite difficult business environment in Iran: 888 exhibitors from 21 countries discussed business with far more than 40,000 trade visitors at iran agrofood 2019

The 26th edition of iran agrofood kicked-off on 18 June in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Agriculture-Jahad, the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine & Trade, the Ambassadors of Brazil, India and the Netherlands and many other dignitaries.

This year the exhibitors came to Tehran with rather low expectations for iran food + bev tec as part of iran agrofood. All the more pleasing was the enormous influx of well over 40,000 visitors from all over Iran and neighbouring countries and their great business interest. 

The exhibitor survey carried out on the last day confirmed the high level of satisfaction:

  • 85% of the exhibitors were satisfied or even very satisfied with iran food + bev tec 2019 as a whole
  • 83% with the services of the organizer
  • 78% with the number of visitors
  • 75% with the visitors’ quality

79% intend to participate again next year and 73% would recommend the event.

The 888 exhibitors from 21 countries who took part from 18 to 21 June can congratulate themselves on their decision. Because it is always important to keep in touch, especially in difficult times. And iran agrofood made this decision especially easy, because: Exhibitors, visitors and organizers agree in their assessment: iran agrofood 2019 proved an excellent show once again!

Ever since 1994, the show has been organized by the German trade show specialists fairtrade in cooperation with their Iranian partners Palar Samaneh. This year from 18 to 21 June 2019 at the Tehran International Fairgrounds.

The exhibitors came from Austria, Brazil, China, Denmark, Georgia, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Mongolia, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.

Of these 888 exhibitors, 335 exhibitors attended iran food + bev tec & bakery + confectionery 2019

Outlined Holger Stachowiak, Technical Sales Manager at KHS: “KHS has been and still is very much interested in the Iranian market. We have installed a wide range of machinery over the last 15 years in the Iranian beverage industry. At this time the situation is rather difficult, but we are confident that things will change to the better, hopefully in the near future. At this show we meet professional partners and customers. The highlight ofiranfood + bevtecis the get-together of partners, customers and institutions. Exchange of ideas and experiences is of high importance, and this trade show is a great platform for doing so.”

NEW: Start-up pavilion at iran agrofood 2019

For the first time this year some twenty Iranian start-up companies presented their innovations at the iran agrofood Start-up Pavilion in hall 31a. STARS at iran agrofood 2019!

Five official national pavilions at iran food + bev tec & bakery + confectionery 2019

China, Germany, India, Italy and Turkey were present at iran agrofood2019 with official national pavilions. The Netherlands and Switzerland were represented through stands of their embassies.

China participated with 19 exhibitors at iran food ingredients, iran food + hospitality and iran food +bev tec.

The official German Pavilion was presented by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, in cooperation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) and supported by VDMA Food Processing and Packaging Machinery. Altogether 15 German companies took part in iran food + bev tec. 

Outlines VDMA’s Vera Fritsche: “Germany is the most important trading partner of the Iranian food and beverage industry for the supply of modern food processing and packaging machinery. The German manufacturers maintain long-standing and partnership-based cooperation with their Iranian business partners. iran food + bev tec brings people together and is therefore an important platform for the German companies to keep and expand contacts.”

No less than 24 Indian exhibitors displayed their products at iran food ingredients & iran food + hospitality, supported by the India Trade Promotion Organisation ITPO, the Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India ASSOCHAM, and the Cashew Export Promotion Council of India CEPCI.

For many years Italy has been one of the most important exhibitor nations at iran food + bev tec. While the Italian participation in recent years has been organized solely privately, the 2019 Italian participation featuring 22 Italian exhibitors has for the first time been complemented by an official Italian pavilion with the support of the ITA - ITALIAN TRADE AGENCY.

Augusto Di Giacinto, Director  – ITA Italian Trade Agency Tehran outlines:"Iranians prefer European technologies and Iran wants to expand and improve its own production, not least in order to export more and more. The knowledge of Iranian potential customers is very high. They are willing to invest and modernize their factories. In difficult times, there are always new opportunities to exploit and the food industry is one of the most important sectors. About iran food + bev tec 2019: "All major Iranian and international players are represented at this important trade fair".

As in previous years, Turkey was again officially represented this year at iran food + bev tec & iran food + hospitality. The Turkish pavilion with 11 exhibitors was supported by the Turkish Ministry of Trade.
